The impact of the M-learning methodology on university students

Our objective in this paper is to explore the effects of implementing the M-Learning methodology on both motivation and the assimilation of academic material. In our research, 283 university students participated, evaluated on two separate occasions. For this evaluation, a 10-question, multiple-answer test was designed in the Socrative mobile app. To gather the students’ feedback on the experiment, a satisfaction survey was employed. The survey results indicate that the M-Learning approach is seen as an engaging tool (74.6%), fostering a more enjoyable classroom atmosphere (71%), enhancing student satisfaction with attending classes (80.5%), and aiding in more effective learning content absorption (72.5%). The frequency and repetition of application usage improved the final scores across all groups (initial-final evaluation: 5.9 vs 7.4 points). The data collected suggests that the M-Learning methodology serves as a valuable facilitator for content assimilation in the academic context and is also a beneficial instrument for enhancing the teaching-learning process.
